Renault India Pvt Ltd recently unveiled the Renault team car for the upcoming MRF Challenge. At the wheel of these two new Renault team cars will be skilled drivers Jon Lancaster and Alice Powell.

This year’s MRF Challenge will feature Renault as the official engine supplier for the championship and all 20 cars on the grid will be powered by the Renault Sport 2-litre engines churning out 210PS of raw power. Renault’s has long been associated with motor racing and the Renault V6 Turbo engine was previously used in the 1970s and 80s. Their V10 also won seven back-to-back titles in the 90s and the Renault V8, has won three constructors’ titles to date.

Mr. Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. Had this to say, “Motor racing is in Renault’s DNA and with this championship Renault India will for the first time support motor racing in India both as an engine supplier for the championship as well as supporting two teams. Our motor racing heritage has always come in handy as it has helped us to design some of the most reliable and efficient engines over time and even today the benefits can be seen in the K9K engine which is extensively used and is without a doubt one of the best suited power plants for the Indian market.”
