Porsche will inaugurate a new showroom in Kolkata, their first in the east, this Saturday, May 30.

Located in the lively automotive hub on Topsia Road, the new showroom will cater to the premium sports car market, based on the iconic manufacturer’s global architectural standard, and is well on its way to becoming an automotive landmark in the eastern region of India.

About two years in the making, the new showroom is one of the architectural highlights in this part of the city. Spread across 5,952 square feet, Porsche Centre Kolkata offers generous display space for seven models from the Porsche family. Additionally, a dedicated fitting lounge – equipped with samples of optional elements that offer almost limitless individualisation possibilities – allows customers to configure their car in their own way to make it unique. The Porsche experience continues with a well-stocked shop-in-shop section that displays a wide variety of Porsche accessories and a dedicated car delivery area.

Speaking ahead of the imminent launch of the new facility, Anil Reddi, Director of Porsche India, said: “Porsche Centre Kolkata is the new, contemporary destination for Porsche customers and enthusiasts in this part of the country. With this showroom, we can offer them an exceptional and memorable ownership experience right from their first contact with the brand. This stunning retail landmark also demonstrates Porsche’s continuous commitment to the Indian market.”

Commenting on the opening of the new Porsche facility, Sandip Bajaj, Managing Director of Porsche Centre Kolkata, said: “With the inauguration of this showroom, we are proud to bring the world-class Porsche retail experience to our customers in the region. We look forward to welcoming them to Porsche’s new home in Kolkata.”

With the launch of Porsche Centre Kolkata, Porsche India continues with its strategy of offering its customers an uncompromising Porsche experience and a commitment to accompany the customer throughout the journey of ownership of a Porsche.

Porsche India have also introduced the all-new Cayman GT4, which combines the Cayman body with essentially the 911’s heart – the 3.8-litre Boxer-six – and a six-speed manual transmission, together with several chassis components from the 911 GT3. The Cayman GT4 has been launched at Rs 1.27 crore (ex-Mumbai). The Boxster Spyder, with a 375-PS version of the 3.8-litre motor, will follow shortly. Although it doesn’t have the GT3 bits, it does pack quite a wallop for a droptop.
