The super luxury car market has just got a new entry to compete against the likes of Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7-Series in the form of the Jaguar XJ-L.
Available in two variants, the XJ-L 3.0 and XJ-L 5.0, this Jaguar is expected to raise the bar of the company’s line-up to a new level.
A 3.0-litre diesel motor producing 275 PS of peak power powers the 3.0 variant. The higher variant of this Jaguar comes with a 5.0-litre supercharged petrol mill and produces a whopping 510 PS of peak power. While the base variant is priced at Rs 77 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the higher one will come at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The prices might sound steep, but when it comes to a car in this segment, it’s the outright luxury and image that matters more than anything else. So with the Jag tag and the legacy that it bring with it, it’s not hard to believe that we’ll soon be seeing these beauties on the road.
