Rolls-Royce have announced a special edition of the Ghost super-luxury saloon available from January to June 2014.

The Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase models will be available to order in the special ‘V-Specification’. The limited edition model will be available in a unique selection of five special colours, or if customers so wish, they have the marque’s 44,000 hues to choose from. The engine, a powerful 6.6-litre, twin-turbo, direct-injected V12, has been tuned up specifically for the Ghost V-Specification, resulting in astounding 600 PS on tap. That means 0-96 km/h takes just 4.7 seconds and 80% of the power is available from idle.

Also on the options list are visible chrome exhausts and 21″ part-polished wheels. Additionally, the ‘V-Specification’ motif is echoed around the handcrafted interior with engraved treadplates, embroidered rear armrest and hand-applied steel inlays to the front multimedia screen lid. Of course, the interior is only truly complete with an exclusively designed clock with a black crown surround.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said “This limited series celebrates one of Ghost’s defining characteristics; the exquisite 6.6-litre Rolls-Royce V12 engine. Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning businessmen and women, ensuring the car’s position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world.”

Rolls-Royce have yet to formally announce the availability of the Ghost V Specification in India, but we’re sure that informed customers and potential buyers will be more than aware of this development. The Ghost is available from Rs 3.2 crore (ex-showroom) in India.
