BMW_X1_smallBaby SUV from BMW gets a facelift

BMW unveiled a face-lift version of their mini SUV, the X1, recently at the 2012 New York International Auto Show and it is due for a September 2012 launch in the US market. Overall, the new X1 remains pretty much the same as the current version, though minor changes have been carried out both in its exterior and interior.

The new X1 has more body-coloured panels, new headlamp graphics with chrome accents on top of the twin lights, day-time running LEDs, blinkers integrated into the mirrors and new front and rear bumpers to add some flare to the overall design. Inside there is hardly anything that distinguishes the current and new X1, but look closely and you will notice a new centre console. The plastic moulding around the audio player has now been replaced with a wood trimming and the gear lever is now surrounded by quality metal-effect trim instead of plastic. This new X1 goes on sale in the US in September and we expect it to be introduced in India by the end of 2012 or early 2013.
